Anyone familiar with Nigeria music industry will know that 2019 was an amazing year year for so many upcoming artistes.

Year 2020 will make us to witness serious contest between Olamide's boy and Don Jassy's boy, could this be another battle between Mavin's and YBNL as we witnessed in 2016 between Lil Kesh and Reekado Banks.

Artistes to look out for 2020

1. Rema

Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, is a Nigerian singer and rapper. In 2019, he signed a record deal with Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records. He rose to prominence with the release of the song "Iron Man", which appeared on Barack Obama's 2019 summer playlist.

Rema was nominated for Next Rated award at Headies in 2019 and was declared the winner.

2. Fireboy DML

Fireboy is a leading Nigerian artiste and a multi-award winner in the Music industry. However, his currently signed to Olamide's own record label, YBNL Records. His debut song Jealous garners massive airplay both on streaming platforms and radio plays and it cut across various countries around Africa. Fireboy's " Scatter" is currently enjoying massive airplay at different media houses across the country.

3. Joeboy

Joseph Akinfenwa Donus known for his stage name "Joeboy" is a Nigerian singer and song writer.

Joeboy is on of the fast rising new artist that are moving towards the limelight i the nigerian music industry. His genre is that of Afro pop and R&B.

4. Blaqbonez

Blaqbonez started exploring his rap skills very early, and at 16, came 1st out of over 3000 rappers in Nigeria, who participated in Terry tha Rapman's Zombie competition. As a result, he and was featured on Terry's album World Domination alongside Olamide, Vector (rapper), Mode 9, Spellz which was released in 2012. Five years later, Blaqbonez featured Terry on one of his projects. He emerged 1st runner-up in Vector (rapper)’s king kong competition, won the Rhythm fm Freestyle Fury and became RhythmFm’s artiste of the month, became the Hennessy Vs class captain, part of the Soundcity blast cypher, also released his much talked about mixtape CTAT "Cssette Tapes and Tvs" grossing over 60,000 engagements in streams and downloads, which is his third mixtape, following hip-hop in blaq and the "unfinished EP".

5. Starboy Terri
