Breaking: Gas Explosion Rocks Kaduna

Tragedy struck at a gas refilling shop along Kachia road in Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna on Saturday leaving several people injured and many others feared dead.

The exact cause of the gas explosion could not be ascertained as at press time, however, it was gathered that the sound of the explosion attracted people kilometres away from the scene of the incidence.

As at the time of filing this report, the shop where the gas is being sold and other shops are up in flames.

There is no clear information on the number of casualties, however, pieces of human parts were seen flung across the streets.

Police operatives have reportedly cordoned off the area and the neighbouring shop to forestall the breakdown of law and looting of people’s properties.
